From one nursery near Doncaster to a family of three nurseries — how it all began.
Flying Start Day Nursery began in 2001 and is founded on a simple idea: that children learn best outdoors with fresh air in their lungs. The spacious location in Finningley near Robin Hood Airport gives us the flexibility of large open spaces and outdoor areas, exactly what we know helps children to grow and thrive.
Flying Start is run by a close family with over 25 years of experience in the industry with roots in farming and believing the best possible childhood is being outdoors. We care for babies right through to pre-schoolers, with rooms and routines designed around each stage of development.
As the family has grown, so has the nursery family — we’re proud to be part of a small group of sister nurseries, Coneygarth Farm Day Nursery and High Melton Day Nursery, who share the same values of real, hands-on childcare.
