From one nursery near Doncaster to a family of three nurseries — how it all began.
Flying Start Day Nursery began life close to Doncaster’s historic Finningley airfield, founded on a simple idea: that children thrive when their curiosity is given room to soar. What started as one small nursery has grown into a much-loved setting trusted by generations of local families.
Today, Flying Start is still run by the same family, based close to Doncaster’s Finningley airfield, and still built around the belief that confidence takes flight when children feel safe to explore. We care for babies right through to pre-schoolers, with rooms and routines designed around each stage of development.
As the family has grown, so has the nursery family — we’re now proud to be part of a small group of sister nurseries, Coneygarth Farm Day Nursery and High Melton Day Nursery, who share the same values of real, hands-on childcare.
